Accomplishments -- 2007
• Rosalind Styles Stephenwoof, President & CEO, recognized as one of the "Top 100 Minority Business Enterprise Award" recipient. The Award program hosted by Governor Martin O'Malley's Office of Minority Business Affairs, University of Maryland, College Park, MD. (Drop Down: MBE Award)

• Co-sponsored Alliance Baltimore Small Business Procurement Fair, Baltimore, MD.

• Co-sponsored the "Women in Construction: Growing Together" Reception, Baltimore, MD

• Served on Washington Suburban Sanitation Commission Minority Business Task Force, Laurel, MD to review their newly-revised Small, Local Minority Business Enterprise Program.

• Participated in two (2) GovConectx Foundation "Matchmaker Event," Holiday Inn Capitol, Washington, DC for service-disabled veteran-owned, veteran-owned, women-owned and HUBZone small business opportunities with federal and national procurement officers, Washington, DC.

• Participated in U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs BRAC Conference, Washington, DC designed to provide service-disabled veteran-owned and veteran-owned business opportunities with US Army Corps of Engineers and the Naval Facilities Engineering Command.

• Participated in Montgomery County Department of Economic Development and the Office of Procurement "Linkages: Connecting Minority Business to Opportunities Conference," Montgomery County, MD.

• Assisted to plan and facilitate ProBiz 2007 in Washington, DC.

• Facilitated the "Ward 8 Annual Economic Development Summit" for D. C. Councilmember Marion Barry, Ward 8 to ensure that local businesses and residents are involved in the resurgence of their neighborhoods, Washington, DC.

• Coordinated NAMC-WMAC's Annual Commitment to Diversity Awards Dinner and Gala" at the Capital Hilton Hotel, in Washington, DC. The dinner honored (1) Turner Construction Company, a major corporate partner who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to minority contracting and (2) The Jair Lynch Companies, a local small business who has risen to the challenge in the construction industry.

• Facilitated a "Networking Reception" at the Hotel Washington; special presentation by the Maryland Department of Transportation, the Maryland State Highway Administration and the TAC Companies on the "Inter County Connector –Your Road to Opportunity."

• Served as a member of the District of Columbia Construction Industry and Workforce Coalition; co-sponsored the "1st Annual Construction Opportunities and Workforce Conference" at the Washington Convention Center to share information on the $10 Billion construction opportunities in the District of Columbia over the next 15 years.

• Served as a member of the Small Business Advisory Committee for Congressman Albert E. Wynn (D-MD); co-sponsored the "Annual Procurement Fair and Business Expo."

• Facilitated the "Tri-Service Industry Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Outreach Forum" in coordination with Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) and Congressman Albert E. Wynn (D-MD) at the Capitol Hilton Hotel, Washington, DC to share a comprehensive overview of the 5-Year, $7 Billion Military BRAC Construction Workload.

• Facilitated the "Ward 8 Developer's Roundtable" for D.C. Councilmember Marion Barry, Ward 8 in the District of Columbia to discuss the $1.5 Billion economic development projects currently planned or underway east of the Anacostia River in Ward 8.
